I HATE THIS YEAR.
I hate it more than I ever thought possible.
There have been a lot of years of late for which December 31 came with a vicious Good riddance – but this?
I would cheerfully burn the rest of the month just to get it over with.
I was going to say “2017 can’t be worse”, but I don’t want to challenge the universe.
I hate this year.

Everyone seems to be saying the same thing – there have been deaths, both celebrity and personal, that just … hit below the belt. 2016 – a year which will go down in infamy…
I started to call it my personal “annus horribilis” months ago.
Yes, indeed. 2016 has not been kind, on so many levels. Trying to keep expectations modest for 2017, because as bad as 2016 has been, I fear the possibilities if one laments too loudly and wails out that we’re kicked down as low as we can go. Taunting the gods, and such.
Keep on keeping on, I guess. Only a few more weeks till the Solstice, and then the days will lengthen into Spring. Hold that thought!
